Welcome!
Welcome to my Blog!
I have three kids , all of which have food allergies. Two of my girls have a disorder called Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis (EGE) and Eosinophilic Esophogitis (EE). My youngest daughter has it so severely that she survives with the help of a feeding tube (G-Tube), and is fed a special hypoallergenic formula.
As you can imagine there have been many parties and family events where they are simply left out of the festivities. So I searched the internet for a fun solution. I found a design for making a paper box that looks like a slice of cake, and tried it. At first I was very dissapointed with the design because it opened on the back, allowing things to fall out as my kids grabbed the box and it bent inward. So with the help of my very supportive Engineer husband, I created my own template. So now my boxes open on the top! I extended that to make everything fit nicely in a circle as well as made three different sizes to make an entire three layer cake. I didn't stop there as I thought of all the things my kids would enjoy as well as others who may not be able to have their cake and eat it too. I have made Cakes, Cupcakes, Pies and Pizza so far (see my photo gallery) and I am currently working on a design to make an Ice Cream Cone. I sell my cakes on Etsy, but I am open to trades and special circumstances. Feel free to ask me questions or tell me about your fun ideas at 2sweet2eatcakes@gmail.com

Could vs. Should
I would love to have every child or adult with food and diet issues to be able to enjoy a party. I will continue to make cakes for my own kids and have invested much to make it fun and less time consuming. I don't make much money if you count the hours it takes to create my items vs. what I sell them for. You COULD copy my designs, but SHOULD you? Feel free to invest your time designing yours, I have, and I enjoy it! - but please don't copy my work and call it your own.
